Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI from Earthquake Survivors to Idols

I had originally planned to make this a live house vote group; however like SCK Girls their story has to be told, so if you want to write in votes in the comments we will add them to the rankings poll.

Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI members are all from Sendai and are all survivors of the great Tohoku Earthquake.

While you may be hearing of this group for the first time, they like SCK Girls have in their short time as idols already performed in Asia, SCK Girls in Taiwan, and ORIHIMETAI in Vietnam.

The name Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI means the following

Michinoku- Tohoku, North Eastern Japan

Sendai-Home town

ORIHIME -is the legendary Princess Weaver of Sendai, who according to legend, ORIHIME meets the prince she loves called Hikoboshi once a year on July 7

So the name means The Tohoku Sendai Princess Weavers

The group became active in August 2011 and they have focused their activities in hard hit Prefectures of Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima, with long range plans to visit every Prefecture that sent help and to someday extend their gratitude to all people who sent money and goods from around the world by staging lives or greetings to say thank you.

Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI activities include, delivering smiles and courage to everyone in the area through their stage event activities as well as reaching out to reconstruction-markets, donation centers for support/gratitude .Visiting temporary shelter houses of which 325,000 people still live in along with fund raising activities.

The spirit of Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI can best be explained by a lyric from their song “I`m Home” – “Once I was a bird, I could not fly. But now no tear, no time to cry. Believing you, it’s nice to know you’ll standby me〜”.

Michinoku Sendai ORI☆HIMETAI is standing by the people of Tohoku whenever they are in need of idol cheer.

TYB48 Part 2

When Candy introduced everyone to TYB48 we didn`t have a performance video to go with it, now that their activities have started we do.

Outside of the fact they are connected to a “Dental Beauty Salon” in which the dentist looks more like a member of Visual Kei band or your butler ,then a dentist [yes this place has a theme to it] ,it still comes down to the fact that however you dress it up it`s still just an idol group.

I can overlook this “Dental Beauty Salon” fang, twisted teeth concept, I mean who  among us has not had a soft spot for a girl with fangs trying her best to sing on key.

After all this is idol genre and we are trained to overlook a lot ,from off key singing ,to circus tent costumes, dating scandals , to teeth , all for the heart warming and undying support we give to our favorite idol and the enjoyment in her entertainment she gives in return .

FullMooN.13 Add New Singer, Change Name

Late last year I told you about an all-girl rock band from Akihabara known as FullmooN.13 ,Well almost immediately after I previewed the band ,the singer left the band and the band went on an activity pause.

The group now has a new singer Nene and has resumed activities, so that means there is a chance they will return to PIH.

They also have dropped the 13 from their name; lastly I am hopeful that they will resume their show they had on Akiba TV.

Backstage Pass Joins Idol Genre with Its Own Group

AKIHABARA Backstage Pass an idol café filled with new idols and idols from Indie Idol groups, under the watchful eyes of producers & cafe owners Tsunku [Hello!Project, Nice Girl Project] and Chiyomaru [Co-Producer of Afilia Saga East and related café`s and Steins; Gate, ] are launching their first idol group from the café .

Bakusute Sotokanda Icchoume will make their debut on August 1st The group will have a sort of election style membership as the girls have been earning points while performing and working at the café and the related TV show. The group also has the chance for international flavor as some of these indie idol groups affiliated with the café have members who are ½ Japanese.

If your pretty familiar with the different Indie Idol groups and with the Possible who are all part of the cafe ,you can get an idea of who may make up this line up here as currently there are 80 girls affiliated with the cafe.

The Question was: How many J pop or idol CD's do you buy every month?

I changed the question a bit, but It was submitted by I ♥ Miyoshi Ayaka. 
I ♥ Miyoshi Ayaka has an awesome blog that I read on a daily basis. In his blog, he writes about groups such as Sakura Gakuin, Ebichu, Primmzy, Girly Chou, and much much more! I suggest that you check out his blog if you like any of these groups!

You can't see the results in the screenshot, so I didn't do one.

 It depends on how many releases the groups I follow have that month is the winner of the poll. It got 34% (18 people). This is the choice that I choose and it makes perfect sense.


I don't buy them, I download them freely from other sites came in second with 23% (12 people) I'm surprised! I didn't think anyone would pick this. Well, the polls are anonymous anyway!
But I don't blame people. Japanese CD's are already expensive. because their imported, they get even more expensive! Sometimes It costs $50 just for 1 CD because I fee's.

That's why I don't understand why people illegally download music from their own country when they can just walk into a CD store and buy it. For me, however, I like jpop, which means that I have to order it online.


5 or more came in third with 21% (11 people). It's cool to know that people buy 5 or more CD's a month regardless of other factors!

None came in fourth with 11% (6 people).

5 or less came in fifth with 7% (4 people).

I prefer digital downloads as opposed to CD's came in last with only 1% (1 person). I was also surprised about this! I think digital downloads are less space consuming and If you use itunes, like H!P does, it's so much cheaper than a CD. I buy half of my H!P music from itunes. This is a wonderful solution to those on a tight budget.
