DiVA Grows By Six

[Pre-new members]


DiVA originally an AKB48 sub unit has spread its wings and has grown independent with the addition of six new members .
The announcement was made this evening at AKB48`s “Kouhaku Singing Battle” event.
The six new members have no relationship as of now to AKB48 and their addition goes against the theme of the unit “Dance & Vocal Unit from AKB48" and makes the number of non-AKB48 members larger then members.

Well things are like that sometimes in idol genre ,the six members are
Kasuya Satoko, Futami Yuuki, Furukawa Atsuko, Fuku Noramu, Inoue Yuina, Yamagami Ayaka

For the first time in history an AKB48 sub unit will be adding non AKB48 .The group who I believe could break away completely from AKB48 and have a major impact career ,DiVA is adding generation two members.

Applicants will be between 18 and 23 and must have dance experience, no raw trainees in this audition. The audition will last three rounds with the final round consisting of performing in front of the members of DiVA. Everyone who passes will become Office48 agency members and members of DiVA. No word if this will open the door to AKB48 membership for the winners.

Who knows maybe DiVA will become a super idol group  of it`s own ,with multiple teams .Why not with HKT48 forming Akimoto already has over 200 girls in his empire ,what’s 30-48 more right .

If there was any AKB48 Sub unit that could leave AKB48 as members for good and be fine as their own fulltime unit it`s DiVA. At first look this unit didn`t even look like members of AKB48 and if I didn`t know better, I would have taken several double looks.

I know in some circles AKB48 gets a lot of hot air blown at them for their vocal abilities or at times lack of. There is nothing to fear here from this release.

This track is one that leaves me thinking the what if they didn`t have AKB48 duties ,how far could this unit go as a fulltime recording and touring unit ,complete with their own TV show. It`s clear this unit is blessed by the Avex touch.

DiVA “Cry” is one track that if you are an idol collector you want to have in your collection.

The newest AKB48 Sub unit DiVA released a short radio teaser for their debut single “Tsuki no Uragawa“on Sayaka and Sae`s radio program “Ukkari Channel“.

Avex has released an interesting teaser for the AKB48 sub-unit, DiVA. DiVA is made up of AKB48 members Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazawa Sae.
DiVA will be making their single debut on April 27 and the single will have four limited editions and one regular edition.

The teaser shows the four members in shadow format with backup dancers, with the member’s names and release information.

AKB48 : DIVA’s “Nakeru Basho” PV

The third track in the AKB48 Beginner CD is from the AKB Sub-unit DIVA.
and is titled “Nakeru Basho”. The PV features a group playing out their name a superstar unit, with "professional attitudes", that gives off an air of the fans being non-important to them. The PV is only 2:26 and it is likely only telling a small part of the story.

Beginner” will be the 18th single released by AKB48 on October 27 and will come in five different editions
