Kikkawa Yuu has released the videos for her seventh single on YouTube. Kikka's seventh single is a triple a-side: Chocolate Damashii/ Sekaijuu ni Kimi wa Hitori Dake/ Valentine's RADIO. The single will be released January 16.
Chocolate Damashii is a cover song of Matsuura Aya. I haven't actually heard the original song yet, despite being an ayaya fan. Chocolate Damashii is more upbeat. As all Ayaya songs are, It's really catchy! Kikka does a good job covering it. The PV is beautiful! Kikka looks mature and classy. This is my second favorite song.
Valentine's RADIO is originally by Matsutoya Yumi. I also have not heard the original song. Valentine's RADIO is also my favorite song out of the three. It's such a soft sounding song, and it's very catchy. Kikka's voice sounds lovely. The PV is very creative, and cute. It features Kikka as an andriod made, who is trying to make Chocolate.
Sekaijuu ni Kimi wa Hitori Dake is the only original song. It's a slow, love song. Kikka's voice has a slight auto tune tone to it, but it's not too bad. The PV is very beautiful. It features a lovely outdoor scene, Kikka's outfit is really cute. The PV is nice, but the song will have to grow on me.
Yuu has released a PV for "Early Snow" .The PV and song is a B-Side for her single Konna Watashi de Yokattara ” . For the video Yuu is in a casual setting of various scenes ,that fit well with the song . Yuu`s wearing of a red nose adds a cute touch to the video. You won`t find anything flashy with this one ,it`s just a good song to enjoy .
Kikkawa Yuu-san held a special Christmas event dressed up as "Kikka Santa". Her special was held on December 25th, 2011 at the Tressa Yokohama Center Garden which was packed with loyal fans.
Kikkawa Yuu-san appeared on stage in a very cute Santa costume. The fans absolutely loved it, chanting "You're so cute!" on stage to her. After the concert, Kikkawa Yuu-san prepared for her upcoming busy week.

Universal is releasing an idol cast movie called “Cheerfu11y” .The leads are Kikkawa Yuu and Hayami Akari .The support cast is made up of Passpo☆ members Tamai Anna, Anzai Naomi, Sakuma Kaho, and Mori Shiori. Up-Up Girls` Furukawa Kontasu and Mori Saki .From the Possible Akiyama Yurika and Goto Yuki and Canary Club’s Niwa Mikiho .Now all we need is Tsunku as director ,lol.
The movie is about these 11 girls and a broken statue .In order for the girls to pay for the damages they enter a cheerleading competition.
This is shades of the 80`s era idol genre, when idols from several agencies were cast in the same dramas.
The soloist of cuteness is back as Yuu has a new single coming out called “Hapirapi ~Sunrise~“.For this release Yuu takes on countryside trip, complete with her trademark smile.
One thing about Yuu, even if you are not a big fan of her music, her smile traps you in and locks you up. For me in regards to idols is a strong selling point.
I really think the sky is the limit for Yuu and this single shows just what she is capable of.

Kikkawa Yuu held a special “pre-debut” event at Shibuya Tower Records on April 3. This live tour was originally scheduled to send the Tohoku native to Nagoya, Osaka, and Sendai; however, with the March 11 "Great Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake", Sendai has been removed from the schedule.
A gathering of 500 fans showed up at Shibuya Tower Records to support Yuu. Kikkawa performed her debut song, “Kikkake wa YOU!”, as well as all the B-sides from her first single as well as giving a short speech and setting up a donation box.

“I’m so happy that I, Kikkawa Yuu, can sing in front of you all,” the Tohoku native said humbly to the crowd before her. “This time, it pains my heart to think that there are people who were affected by the earthquake and couldn’t come to this event even if they wanted to. But even though it’s something small, I can say with confidence that I want to go on singing so that I can have a chance to make everyone even just a bit more energetic by singing, and so that I can send my energy to the victims of the disaster.”

The single, will be released on March 30 will come in four versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, Limited Edition C, and a regular edition. Each edition of “Kikkake wa YOU!” will contain one-track exclusive to that version.
While not putting Yuu in Morning Musume based on this preview was a mistake, the result may have become a blessing for Yuu as she just may become the next young top soloist out today.
As long as Yuu gets good quality songs to perform, her charm and abilities should lead her to a very promising career.

Kikkawa Yuu Debut Press Conference
Newly graduated from Hello! Project Egg, Kikkawa Yuu has announced that she will be making her official major solo debut with Universal Records [She is not changing management or agency companies ,just her distribution deal is with Universal].
At a press conference yesterday Yuu announced that her debut single will be released on March 30 and her single will be titled “Kikkake wa You!” (The reason is You!).
Yuu`s press conference was not only attended by the members of the press but 100 fans who registered through her support site. Both Up-Front and Universal left no detail undone as the press conference had a feel of a gala event, complete with Yuu in a white dress with a gold folding screen background.
Two other major news events came out of this event as Yuu announced that she will have a documentary film released during Golden Week , called “Kikkake wa YOU!” . The film will cover her rise to her official debut.
Yuu will also be the opening act for the Universal Studios Japan “Universal Dream Live 2011″ concert series from March 19th to 21st.
For the enjoyment of everyone in attendance Yuu put on an apron and started the event by dicing cabbage, to which she told the crowd “A nice cabbage, huh. In the mornings, I have to do this,” and proceeded to turn the cabbage while slicing. All that remained was the cabbage’s core, causing the crowd to start laughing and giving Yuu supportive applause.
Yuu was asked if she had told anyone about her debut, before today’s event, Yuu said “My mother. She congratulated me.” Yuu mentioned that this debut single is a special treasure to her and is looking forward to her fans singing together with her. Yuu mentioned that she would like to grow in popularity and someday perform in the Tokyo Dome.
When asked about her goals and rivals ,Yuu made her declaration very clear .Announcing that she looks up to “Moritaka Chisato and Matsuda Seiko” and plans to grow strong enough to target company members Morning Musume and Matsuura Aya, while becoming AKB48’s Itano Tomomi solo rival. Yuu said this about Itano “We’re about the same age, so I hope as rivals we can make the age of solo idol singers exciting.”
After ending the press conference by singing her solo debut, Yuu was asked about her feelings. Yuu said, “I’m nervous. I woke up this morning at 4:44 so I thought that it would be an unlucky day. I’m relieved that ended without incident.” She evaluated her cabbage dicing performance, “I was nervous, so I’d give it 70%,” but for her vocals, Kikkawa smiled, “I was nervous there too but, 100%! But I still have a lot more to grow.”

Hello!Pro EGG Kikkawa Yuu has received the same press release that Sengoku Minami received the other day.
Up-Front has announced just as Sengoku a few days ago has completed her EGG training and just like Sengoku , Yuu will not be graduating.
For now Yuu`s next assignment is to be the opening act the upcoming winter concert tour for Hello!Project.
Fueling even more speculation is something that Tsunku said on the audition special broadcast yesterday.
At the end of the audition special Tsunku said the following about the five young finalists.
“This might become a good new group of people”
This can be interpreted in a number of ways .From his expressions the wheels in his head are turning , any or all five finalists could be in Morning Musume , or a new unit by themselves .What makes this audition different then others ,the EGGS are eligible to become members of Morning Musume .
It`s just interesting that at the same time the auditions for Morning Musume ,that allowed EGGS to audition is underway , EGGS are suddenly being announced as completing their training with no clear explanation on what they will be doing next long term.
Just as I said with the Sengoku announcement , this news may have nothing to do with Morning Musume at all as as both are over the age limit to audition and everything to do with Morning Musume at the same time .
2011 looks like it will be a year of changes for Hello!Project for not only Morning Musume , but for the EGGS as well.
