Momoiro Clover Z: RISE UP

Recently a serious investment has been made into Momoiro Clover Z to push them up the ranks. Media, celebrities and fans have jumped aboard this as if everyone is looking for that next idol group to rise up and take over the top spot, or in this case be the leader of the next wave of idol genre.

From 24hr TV broadcasts, to live concert broadcasts, featured television variety specials to a traveling bus and a wide range of endorsements, the push is on in full force and the girls are starting to be everyday faces on television.

Clover Z appeals to a wide range of age groups from small children to adults, they have a charm that sweeps over everyone they are around.

Momoiro Clover Z Otome Sensou

Momoiro Clover's PV for Otome Sensou is out!

The other a-side is PUSH, which was released earlier andthe bside is mitemite☆kochichi. Sensou means war, so I expected something more energetic, however, PUSH and mitemite☆kochichi are already energetic, so this kind of calms everything down.

I didn`t have a chance to post this earlier, so apologies to fans waiting on this video.

Momoiro Clover Z has released the coupling track first to their upcoming untitled single. “PUSH” features the group acting in the only way they know how and we have come to expect from the group.

Clover as a group, song and video wise just keeps improving and as such are collecting a lot of support from media, celebrities, and fans.

Weekly Poll #1 Results

It's Monday again, which means it's time to view the results of the weekly poll!

The question was (Submitted by me): Which group has the most interesting PV's?

 

 Momoiro Clover Z is the winner for this poll, and won by a landslide with 54% (23 people) of the votes!! I honestly expected them to win because momoclo definitely has the most fun, unique, and original PV's out of any idol groups I've ever faced!




It's not surprising that Momoclo's sister group, Shiritsu Ebichu Chuugaku got second, receiving second place with 21% (9 people) of the votes. I also immensely adore Ebichu's PV's! Their so wacky and fun. The girls are all so silly, and don't care if they look ridiculous!

BiS took third place, receiving 16% (7 people) of the votes! BiS PV's to me are a combination of weird, and interesting. I just had to include them! This group is still fairly new, yet they still managed to beat SKE.

SKE48 came in last place with only 7% (3 people) of the votes. As a huge SKE fan, I find that out of all of the 48 groups, SKE's PV's are a little lot more fun and creative than the other groups, so I'm shocked.






In total, 42 people voted! I actually did not expect this much people to participate!

Momoiro Clover Z recently released the video for their upcoming single “Mouretsu Uchuu Koukyoukyoku Dainana Gakushou ‘Mugen no Ai’”.
The video features the group in several CGI created backgrounds, riding space bicycles while wearing pirate costumes.
I have to say they make for some cute space pirates.

A 16 second CM preview for Momoiro Clover Z's ninth single Mouretsu Uchuu Koukyoukyoku Dainana Gakushou "Mugen no Ai" was uploaded on the Stardust digital channel today.

As always, Momoclo's video looks crazy, and extreme! It looks like a lot of effort was put into it.
Moretsu Uchuu and LOST CHILD (The B side) will be used for the anime Moretsy Uchuu Kaizoku.

Momoiro Clover Z Rocks Saitama Super Arena

Who needs end of the year TV specials ,were the most talented acts get overlooked because they are Visual Kei bands , idols that don`t sell enough or any other industry  excuse they can think of ,when you can just have your own live and make up your own rules .

December 25th Momoiro Clover Z may have held their best live of their career and it was at the Saitama Super Arena .

Momoiro Clover Z played almost 30 songs had heavy metal guitar great Marty Friedman providing the riffs and a host of other idol/rock goodness such as flames ,lightshow and more .

Momoiro Clover Z ends 2011 with a powerful statement “We have arrived and everyone watch out”. In 2012 the girls have two nights booked for Yokohama Arena.

The 5 member idol girl group, Momoiro Clover Z has the job of providing a theme song for the upcoming anime "Moretsu Uchuu Kaizoku". At the preview event for "Moretsu Uchuu Kaizoku", which was held in Shinjuku Wald 9, Momoiro Clover Z were appointed as surprise guest. Momoiro Clover Z also revealed that these songs will be released March 7th as their newest single, "Mouretsu Uchuu Koukyoukyoku Dainana Gakushou ‘Mugen no Ai'" Stayed tuned for Momoiro Clover Z's upcoming single!

Momoiro Clover Z has released a new PV called “Santa-San” .The video features the girls in an out of control Christmas office party as only Clover can perform.
The group has started a new tour and the PV was debut at the opening night in Yokohama and received a warm, supportive response by the fans. This was the only way the fans could enjoy the song as Reni is a featured vocalist in the song and is off tour right now due to poor health. She should make a full recovery.

Of all the videos this group has made, this is in my opinion alone  is the best PV this group has made. There is a lot in this video and if you are not careful, you will miss something.

On November 22 an epic battle of sorts will take place at Yokohama BLITZ as the two units will face off in a live concert on USTREAM .The live is titled “The 5th game!” and TGS representative Avex Entertainment regards this as a battle to “Snatch away Yokohama BLITZ” ,while Momoiro Clover Z said that they regard this as the end game of a growing friendly rivalry which has seen the two units hold live USTREAM concerts in the past either at the same time or right after each other from the same venue .
To add a little more spice to the situation both units will be releasing singles on November 23.

The fresh faced idol units are making their move on the genre and one unit that has come a long way from their street live days is Momoiro Clover Z .Momoiro Clover Z held a live in front of 6,000 fans at Yomiuri Land. The live was a full stage presentation complete with all the things that the unit is known for and backup dancers, water guns and more as the group captivated the crowd with 21 songs of Momoiro Clover Z magic.

In regards to their pledge of a haircutting if they fell short of number ranking Shiori announced “I got my hair cut short.” while looking very much her adorable idol self.

To finish off this historic first outdoor live of the year the unit announced their biggest event to date in front of the fans and the TV Asahi film crew .On December 25 the unit will hold their first arena live at Saitama Super Arena, placing them on the same level of venue artists as Morning Musume, AKB48, SPEED and more. Momoiro Clover Z has truly arrived and are no longer the feel good Indie idols done good story. They are with the very best in the genre now.

How far will they climb we will see on December 25. Saitama will be the place to be for their fans as this unit puts on some of the highest energy off the wall lives in the industry. When you leave one of their lives, you have no energy left .They are really one of the best live units in the industry.

Yet another idol group has made a deal for idol gold.

Momoiro Clover Z while traveling around Tokyo in a specially design “Momoclo Election Car” found themselves in the heat of the moment and let their emotions get the best of them. While making a stop at Tokyo Tower to promote their first album  "Battle and Romance" , MC Yamasato Ryouta proclaimed, “are there any idol groups that make you as energetic (as Momoclo)?” It was at this point that Shiori screams out “If this album isn’t number one, I’ll cut my hair!”

Momoclo had good reason to be overcome by excitement as earlier in the day 4,000 fans showed up at Shinjuku Station Square to watch the group perform a mini live.

As part of their debut album promotion Momoclo made other trips to Harajuku, Shibuya, and Aoyama explaining to fans that the album features intense, ‘battle-like’ songs to ‘romance-like’, slow songs, and that their final goal is the “Kouhaku (Uta Gassen)!”

Momoclo`s album has come out of the gates hot, but the question is if they can take the coveted top spot against strong opponents. Even if they don`t reach number one, their early sales have past Hello!Project`s recent releases ,something that is a growing trend for the fresh face idols generation.


This is what happens when your company decides to fight and spend money to make their group`s sales increase ,you go old style promoting. Something that has always pushed idols over the edge. There is one simple rule in music ,to make money you have to spend money in an effective way .It`s easy to sit back on your legacy and just pull money from a safe and secure fan base , it takes very little effort and risk to stay safe . it`s another to take bold out of the box risks ,even if you  fail to reach their your goal.

Seeing an idol unit turn to old style promoting ,brings a smile to my face as it shows that their company has not forgotten were genre came from ,the streets of independents .

In the end ,Momoclo may not gain the benefits today from this campaign ,but at some point, they will and I applaud them for taking a risk to become more then what they currently are.

Momoiro Clover Z will be getting a major artist push, as they will be the featured artist on MUSIC ON! TV`s artist of the month program.

This push will start on July 1 and for the entire month of July the groups new PV “Gekkan mo Momoiro Clover Z” will air in a daily feature artist push.

Momoiro Clover Z will also be taking part in two summer festivals “Mihama Kaiyuusai” at Onoura Kaisuiyokujou on July 16 in Aichi

They will also head over to Meiji Shrine on August 6 as part of the “Jinguu Gaien Hanabi Taikai”.

 Momoiro Clover Z will release their new singles “Z Densetsu ~Owarinaki Kakumei~” and “D’ no Junjou”, on July 6 and their first album “Battle and Romance”, on July 27
