When i first heard these two were doing a song together i had worries over DLH image mixing with anarchy idols. Instead this is an awesome mid tempo traditional idol song

BiS: Housekeeping Service?

 If you follow Idol genre long enough you will see your share of creative promotions and our rebels of the idol genre BiS [Brand-new Idol Society] have come up with the best yet in their young career.

The group is auctioning themselves off to be housekeepers. That`s right  the lucky winner will have BiS clean, cook, do your laundry or trash your house .With this group , you better throw in trash your house as you never know what the end result may be.

In the fine print of the auction it reads BiS will go to the winner's house and do whatever you want for three hours!" [Not that whatever, man you guys minds].

They will however do your cooking, cleaning and laundry, the term used for folding laundry is also used as an innuendo for [watch your mouth Gaki] let`s just say, well let`s just move along and let that go.

When you think about BiS, it`s an interesting mix of a group .On the one hand you have a innuendo throwing, anti-idol establishment image. However when you strip that outer shell off, you see it`s really just an adult version of Momoiro Clover Z. In the end it`s all about surviving as an idol group and an innuendo talking. rebel attitude is just the next trend in this new idol age.

Idol Rebels and Idol Loyalist have joined forces for a single collaboration.

Dorothy Little Happy & BiS will release “GET YOU” on January 9th .The release will come in two versions with three songs each, in type 1. BiS will do Dorothy Little Happy`s Sayonara demo as one coupling track. On the second version DLH will do BiS “Nerve” as one coupling track.

The two groups will also have a joint concert on January 14th

Time to take another spin around the world of Idol Genre

SUPER GiRLS have an outstanding new release ,while i am not a big fan of the group ,I find myself drawn to the group this time by their costumes as i like outfits with touches of military , ceremonial guard aspects and these outfits give that feeling .
There are no rights or wrongs in music , just the creating of memories in people’s hearts and every video, photo that a group makes will say different things to different people.
The PV has a little bit of everything , fire ,idol close ups, water , creative fan service teases and more.





BiS Marathon
Not long ago the girls from BiS held an impressive and grueling live promotion a 24hr live event. The event saw the group entertain their fans for 24 hours ,battling fatigue and insanity at the same time.
The event was broadcast ,for those who could not attend .Here is a look back at the madness. Credit to the group for figuring out stuff to do.

Tsunku-San`s idol army of the Akihabara Backstage Pass Café .
And Tsunku in his wonderful wisdom has allowed them to audition for Morning Musume with one making it to the 11 gen final bunch. I think that is a great idea ,with the strength of idol genre being what it is now ,if you can bring in girls who have experience at any level into your ranks ,it allows you to reload at a faster rate

With their own weekly and highly entertaining television show out of their fantastic cafe, the girls of Backstage Pass are collecting a solid following. Really if you ever get to come over to visit , you have to see this café.

Weekly Poll #1 Results

It's Monday again, which means it's time to view the results of the weekly poll!

The question was (Submitted by me): Which group has the most interesting PV's?

 

 Momoiro Clover Z is the winner for this poll, and won by a landslide with 54% (23 people) of the votes!! I honestly expected them to win because momoclo definitely has the most fun, unique, and original PV's out of any idol groups I've ever faced!




It's not surprising that Momoclo's sister group, Shiritsu Ebichu Chuugaku got second, receiving second place with 21% (9 people) of the votes. I also immensely adore Ebichu's PV's! Their so wacky and fun. The girls are all so silly, and don't care if they look ridiculous!

BiS took third place, receiving 16% (7 people) of the votes! BiS PV's to me are a combination of weird, and interesting. I just had to include them! This group is still fairly new, yet they still managed to beat SKE.

SKE48 came in last place with only 7% (3 people) of the votes. As a huge SKE fan, I find that out of all of the 48 groups, SKE's PV's are a little lot more fun and creative than the other groups, so I'm shocked.






In total, 42 people voted! I actually did not expect this much people to participate!

BiS Joins Avex And Add Members

Well will wonders ever end with this bunch, BiS is at it again, and at it I mean playing around with the minds of fans. This time the girls have added two members and signed with Avex.

Avex representatives said that after seeing them perform live and the crowd response it was impossible not to want this group under contract .The question now remains is how flexible will they be or will this be the end of BiS as we know it. To celebrate their new venture the girls wore Avex labeled costumes at their recent live and commented that they found them while helping themselves to the Avex warehouse.

As to joining Avex leader Pour Lui thanked the fans for helping a group who aren’t cute, can’t sing, can’t dance, and lack inspiration reach a major label debut. Lui went on to cry and say that up to now every announcement has been about members leaving and not about pleasant announcements. They will make their major debut this summer

The second piece of news is that BiS has added two new members

and Wakisaka Yurika.

BiS The Great Game And We All Played

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive [ Sir Walter Scott 1808] .Remember when I wrote that BiS was going to become a “traditional Idol” group ,going so far as removing their wild idea manager for a “traditional” manager. To ensure this message was taken to heart the member’s blogged, tweeted and comforted their fans, explaining that this change was needed in order to grow.

Now remember when I warned you in the same article that with BiS, not everything is as simple as they say and that their idea of “traditional idol” may not be what the rest of the genre works under.
This ladies and gentlemen is BiS version of “Traditional Idol” and the real video for the single  IDOL.

Well played ladies, well played .I would expect nothing less from you.



It should be noted that in the aftermath of this great marketing game ,they have apologized for deceiving everyone and blamed it on their manager [who did not step down by the way] and slapped him in front of media on behalf of their fans.

I don`t know how the sales will end up, but BiS had a game and we all played.

BiS To Go Traditional Idols?

In a move that has BiS fans scratching their heads and asking is this for real ,the rebels of Idol genre are trading it all in to become a "traditional" Idol group and in  the process they are losing their mastermind Watanabe Junnosuke of Tsubasa Records.

At BiS one-man live at LOFT/PLUS ONE in Shinjuku, Tokyo at the end of a 27 song live, Mr.Watanabe announced that he was stepping down as the manager and co-creative mind [w/Pour Lui] of  BiS, to allow the group to become a traditional Idol genre group.

Now I must say their idea of " traditional" Idol ,is not yet along the lines of other traditional Idol genre groups ,so it still comes down to interpretation as this teaser video for their first "traditional" Idol genre single will show.



It remains to be seen if this is long term or just another marketing idea from famed singer and group leader Pour Lui .

We should step back for a moment and watch this play out  with caution,because after all they once had a live festival and record release called “Idol is Dead”.

This move however could explain the sudden graduation the group just had as Yukiko resigned over differences in the direction the group was taking.

. The “new” BiS will release their new change of direction single “IDOL” on April 11 [HMV only release] and on the 15th will announce their new member.

So will BiS join the rest of the genre or will they keep making fun of it ? We will find out April 11.

Knowing how free spirited Pour Lui is, anything is possible.

My money is on ,more of the same from BiS and if you follow the teaser and know BiS style,you will understand why I will end with not everything is what it seems at times.

With new member auditions underway and a chance that they are open to having a transgender member, who knows what will happen next.

BiS Member To Graduate

The idols of wildness may have become a bit wild for one member ,who on paper seemed the most likely to fit in reinforcing that  appearances , stage antics and so on are merely a gimmick created to reach a desired effect and not a reflection of the values that may lay inside.

Founding member Nakayama Yukiko has announced that she is graduating on December 31 .Nakayama is the second member to leave the group since June.
As to the reasons for her graduation ,it`s the typical musical differences situation Nakayama feels that the group is changing in a direction that is not in her best interests .

Nakayama recently released a blog post on her feelings and decision to graduate.

  "The reason why I've decided to graduate now is that the direction BiS has taken is no longer the place where  my feelings are at.
I have started to realize  that even the things I'd had fun doing in BiS weren't fun for me or the  things that I wanted to continue doing.

Because I thought these feelings were inexcusable to have in front of the other members of BiS and all the fans that’ve supported BiS, I have decided to graduate.
The year I spent as a member of BiS was short but intense, however I was able to meet so many people through my activities in BiS."

  She went on to thank the fans ,staff and remaining members . Nakayama later went on to mention that after her graduation she will start her search for what she really wants to do in music.
Nakayama was to me one of the main things that made the group interesting ,however sometimes your own happiness has to take priority . I am not sure what her next road will be ,however when she is ready ,I know that I want to hear it.
As for BiS I am interested in seeing who they bring in to the group in 2012.

BiS has a brand new PV for the song Primal. , and honestly I don`t even know how to begin to describe this to you. I will try my best to describe it as best as possible.

The PV starts out with a family and a baby feeding from mom .Then we have this graphic close up of a bloody wound [which is fake as you will see but nicely done] and this drifts off into camera shots of deep down the members throats ,various member shots ,including bruised faces , smoking ,vomiting ,baby flash backs and IR [inferred camera] shots and ends with momma and baby taking a photo.

I am not ready to say yet if I like or dislike the video, because honestly I don`t know yet . It`s different and I accept BiS and all their strangeness and this is by far the most unidol like idol video out today .And you know what, that`s just the way they want it and what makes this group so unique an unidol like, that frankly I can`t get enough of them as you never know what they will do next.

Let me ask the guys who read PIH a question. If your idol offered to give you a kiss if you buy a ticket to her concert, would you buy the ticket?


The we will make our own rules idols are back on PIH and doing things their way. On December 20th BiS will be releasing an yet untitled new single ,plus they will be holding their first oneman live concert [one group concert] .The concert will be titled  `IDOL is DEAD`  and promises to take the rebel group to a new level of doing things their way.

As part of the promotion there is two special gifts connected ,any fan who buy tickets for the live will be able to buy the CD in advance .But it gets much better then just an advance copy of the CD and that is an kiss from an idol.

On October 29 and 30th at the groups, record company offices [Tsubasa Records] BiS will be holding a kiss fan event. If you bring your ticket to the event, the member of your choice will kiss the ticket and leave her lipstick print on your ticket.

Plans are underway to give lipstick kisses to fans that cannot attend the live.

BiS Enter Oricon Top 30 For First Time

Super rebel idol unit BiS reached a new milestone in their young non-traditional idol career by having their highly controversal single "My LXXX" reach number 26 [it was also their first time in the top 50] on the Oricon daily charts. The young idol unit shared the wonderful news with their fans at their own music festival titled "BiS Festival" .The "BiS Festival" featured a rock -idol mix of four bands in total . Groups at the "BiS Festival" were the rock bands the milky tangerine, Fujirock and the idol unit tengal6, with BiS of course the headliners.

BiS was nothing short of fantastic as they entertained everyone at the event with their brand rebellious idol rock-pop style. Many times during the live the members of BiS were overcome by tears from the outpouring of love and support for this fresh unit.

BiS ended the festival by announcing yet another milestone on December 20 they will have their first “ONEMAN LIVE” [Solo group concert] .Solo oneman are a very important step in an Indies development as it represents the point of being able to sell out an live house without the need of support acts.

Keep in mind Indies don`t have a big media machine behind them to make them super idols ,everything they accomplish they earn the hard way , by busting their backsides on the streets handing out flyers ,doing endless amounts of live shows and making as much merchandise they can think of.


By reaching oneman live status, BiS hard work has started to payoff and a great 90 minute to two-hour concert awaits everyone who will be attending.

BiS is also reaching out to the international market with a brand new account at soundcloud, which their songs have been uploaded for full previews.

It`s a really great idea and site ,just click play on any song and sit back ,the rest of the songs below it will play one by one.

BiS are making controversy and fans and are one to watch out for.

BiS: Controversy And New Member

I have been waiting for the perfect time to introduce this unit. I guess when you create controversy by releasing a PV simulating having no clothes on and welcome a new member is a good time.


Imagine this if you will. You are a member of a brand new Idol unit and you want to make your mark on the industry, so what idea do you come up with? Release a PV with the group simulating having no clothes by wearing flesh colored costumes , creative filming and a pasty or six. If you decide to do that, then you just maybe a member of BiS.

BiS “Brand-new idol Society“ who have taken and turned the idol world on it`s head with their controversial PV “My Ixxx” ,formed in January and made their debut in February ,then released a debut album in March are the idea of  group leader,  Indies solo pop-rock performer Pour Lui .

The original lineup featured Hirano Nozomi, Yokoyama Rina, Pour Lui and Nakayama Yukiko are unlike any idol unit on the scene today.

BiS are somewhat rebels as they do not conform to the traditional idol stereotypes. Instead, they are wacky, controversial and use You Tube as their main promotional outlet.

BiS has made it, a habit of breaking every possible idol stereotype rule you can imagine ranging from extreme hard rock head banging ,tongue piercings , fan service through member’s not so idol like kissing each other during their live performances to eyebrow raising tributes to other groups.

This out of the box rebellious idol style has created for BiS a balance of stirring up controversy with music that`s actually pretty solid and  worth checking out.

Look for BiS to continue causing a stir in the idol music circles. With their hands-on approach to their image and activities, erratic, idol rock performances and unpolished routines. BiS screams long live the Do-it -yourself Idols with every move they make . BiS is what the Indies represent "freedom" to do your own thing ,without a big label saying no.

Fresh on the heels of the video controversy BiS has added a new 4th member.

On July 9 20 yr old,  Terashima Yufu was added as the new 4th member, one day after her birthday.
In addition to their regular live house events Yufu and BiS will be performing at the “Guru Guru Mawaru 2011” rock festival and on August 3 will hold their own festival called “BiS Festival”
