SDN48 CinDy Joins Watarirouka Hashiritai7

[Late News Catch up post]

In news that I didn`t have time to post when it broke a few days ago SDN48 member CinDy will be joining Watarirouka Hashiritai7 on a temporary time frame. This move comes on the heels of Aki-P hinting that it was the record company that decided to end SDN48 and not the 48 management team.

You may be asking yourself how CinDy can jump into the top spot in Warota7. Well it`s simple really.

A-CinDy was the unofficial Team B leader prior to the great reshuffle
B-She has a princess image that matches the idea of Warota7
C- The original idea for Warota7 was to be Team B`s sub unit
D-CinDy is from the same agency as 5 of the members

At first the Warota 7 members didn`t know how to feel, then started posting nominations for new members ranging from Lovetan`s AKB48 mom Yuko to Matsubara Natsumi and more. One of the funniest was Komori asking if her dad, sister and brother can join.

Recently, SDN48 spoke about their new PV "Yaritagariya-san". This song is a B-side to their latest single "Kudoki Nagara Azabu Juban", which was sung by girls' from Team G. From the looks of the PV, the girls are giving off a more mature and "sexy" look. Along with posing more mature and "grown up".

SDN48 Mass Graduation

SDN48 Mass Graduation

In a move that has taken, everyone by surprise SDN48 will graduate every member of the group at the same time on March 31, 2012.

 No clear explanation has been given, however Nachu blogged that the reason will be explained next week on Suppon.

This move sees a group whose current single is over 72,000 in sales become the surprise talk of the industry and fans as speculation is running wild.

In the official statement there are a few lines that stand out to me ,that makes this feel like there is  a major shift in things to come with the 48`s . If Aki-P can mass graduate a group that sales near 100,000 a release, what else could be in the works for the members of SDN48 and the 48`s in general in 2012.

    In order to focus on each member’s career path, all the members of SDN48 will graduate from the group together.

    Through their farewell concert on March 31, 2012, the first chapter of SDN48 will conclude its role.

Key points of the show
We have a Berryz beaten up in the name of comedy [will not spoil it by saying who].

The show barely gets started before S/mileage takes the gloves off and starts a near battle with their elders, and then SDN48 throws down the lingerie so to speak as the idols of sexiness declare the throne that S/mileage and others seek.

In part three Passpo☆ and SUPER☆GiRLS get into a heated after game fight.

In the end, only one group will get to promote their song at battles end.

This falls under the heading of life is complicated and I just missed this news item.
Recently SDN48 announced their 3rd generation members at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

3rd generation is made up of the following members.

Former AKB48 Team A members Tojima Hana and Komatani Hitomi, models Hayakawa Sayo and Shinahama Saemi .Coming over from Avex are Kojo Seara and miray .The last member is from Korea by the name of Siyeon.

Recently it was announced that AKB48 would be joining this years Avex a-nation tour, well it`s not only AKB48, every unit named 48 and the sub units for AKB48 will be joining the tour.

While Avex could have easily ran this event with their own groups , selecting the hottest female idol franchise/ family in the industry today to join them on a very special version of the tour series ,makes a strong line up ,even better.

This year marks the 10th a- nation tour; however, this year the proceeds will go to the people living in the Tohoku region for earthquake recovery needs.

The tour titled “a-nation 10th Anniversary for Life: Charge & Go! Weider in Jelly.” Will come to the following locations.

SDN48:“Ai, Juseyo” Release Postponed

In light of the earthquake hitting on Japan, release dates have been postponed for singles released under Universal Music. Among those is SDN48's major debut single "Ai, Juseyo". Originally to be released in 23rd March 2011, it will now be released on 6th April 2011. But at least things in the music scene are picking up slowly.

SDN48’s Undergirls PV for their song “Tengoku no Door wa 3 Kaime no Bell de Aku”, has come out. This is the coupling song to their latest single, “Ai, Juseyo”.

The video is set in dark lighting along with the costumes and lets not kid here, it`s set in the atmosphere of a gentlemen’s/hostess club [use your imagination here at what I really mean] and features Meetan as the center member.

Looking past the video the song has great vocal arrangements and pleasing on the ears.

The 48 Groups Donate 500 million Yen For Earthquake Relief

The members of the deferent 48 groups, AKB, SKE, SDN, NMB along with management and staff, recently set up a bank account so fans could donate for earthquake relief. As part of this charity, the 48`s along with management and staff made what has been one of the leading donation figures by any music company or group to date.

According to several news outlets Akimoto Yasushi, all the members of AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, SDN48, as well as their management AKS and the staff of Akimoto’s office have donated 500 million Yen ($6.2 million USD) to open their charity drive.

representatives for each group said that they are trying to think of more ways to support all the people affected by the natural disaster.

In related news on March 31 SKE48’s Team S will resume performing again. The members commented, “We want to give the victims of this disaster even just the smallest bit of courage”.

All the money generated from the live will go to earthquake relief. They are also setting up Nagoya based fundraising activities.

When is a video to much and not enough at the same time? When your SDN48 .SDN48 are back with a new release that will go head to head with Morning Musume and the 9th gen on March 23.

“Ai, Juseyo”! Has everything that you would expect in and SDN48 PV, you have SDN48, long bathtub scenes, shadow dance scenes that are pure “undressed” fan services teases. When you move past the fan service this is good song. Seeing how idols are built on fan service and not song quality at times ,it is going to be very hard for SDN48 to not take the top spot opening sales day.

Like the warning label at the start of the PV says, “If you use this product over a long time, you may be attracted to this product. Please be careful “

SDN48 member Ito Kana has announced that she is going to graduate due to poor health. Ito who has been resting at home with influenza, made the following announcement, through their official blog.

“I’ve decided to withdraw from SDN48.  I deeply reflected upon my decision, and I cannot keep causing trouble to everybody because of my health condition.  I will make a fresh start, and focus on my health, as well as other things I need to do.  I hope to have some time off until the day I would be able to see you again. I have met many people, and learned irreplaceable things through SDN48.  The time I spent time with my precious members, staffs, and you fans, is my treasure.  To all the people who have been supporting SDN48, thank you very much!”

The move is expected to be immediately, Let us all hope that Kana will someday take the stage again for a new chapter in her life.

Are these two videos the greatest videos in music history? , no, however the music, look and feel is good and modern.

Yesterday was the international release day [Japan & Korea] for SDN48 debut single “GAGAGA” In Japan the single entered the charts at an impressive #1 with sales of 34,348 .Not bad for a group that is starting their group career over the traditional Idol debut age of 12-15 . These experienced veterans, show that  the 25 year “grandma idol” cut off age, is a thing of the past

SDN48 Debut Single GAGAGA!

SDN48 debut single GAGAGA! PV is now out.

GAGAGA! Features the group in a multi costume and set PV that has a little touch of KPOP video shooting, without loosing the specialness of Idol JPOP.

I was actually hoping for a more powerful debut single, it`s a grow on you song, if you don’t like it on first hearing it.

While the song may not be your punch in the face debut, the video makes up for any short comings the softer touch of the song, may leave some fans feeling.

Overall it`s a solid single, that’s worth getting and the PV shows how you can do a lot with a little. No over done CGI, just everything in it`s right amounts.

SDN48 member, Fukuyama Sakura, has decided to leave the group and graduate from the entertainment business due to health concerns.

Both Sakura and their theater manager’s blogs have confirmed this news.

Fukuyama who hails from Niigata, has been suffering from an unannounced chronic illness for some time, dating back to her pre SDN48 days, due to the group’s continuous activities it was becoming more difficult for her to continue, resulting in a gradual decline in her health.

Fukuyama a 2nd generation member is one of the more popular members of SDN48 and was just recently selected as one of the senbatsu members for the SDN48 major label debut single, coming in at rank twelve.

According to the limited information released, her condition is such that she could collapse on stage at any given time and she has concerns that her collapsing on stage might cause trouble for everyone. Everyone around her inside SDN48 has given her strength to fight through this and the security to know that if such a fall should take place, it would be ok and the members would support her through it.

Sadly, her condition has reached the point that she must rest, if she ever has any hopes of returning to SDN48 and finishing her dreams.

I have always wanted to be in a profession where I could sing and dance, so I moved to Tokyo when I was in high school, but I couldn't seem to make my dream come true, and then this year I was finally able to fulfill the dream that I really, really wanted to do, and become a part of SDN48's 2nd generation.

Idols are unlike any other performing artist; they hide their pains, worries, and doubts with a smile on their face, so their fans will never feel disappointment. They have a specialness and bond with their fans that goes beyond sales figures.

It is often that this need to protect their fans from feeling disappointment, which results in this genre suffering great tragedies such as Okada Yukiko or the taking of health for granted.

Let us all hope that Sakura as she stated in her blog, will someday continue her dreams and return to the stage.

The date and performance for her graduation will be announced on the official SDN48 site as soon as they are decided.
