Weekly Poll #7

It's a day late, but here's the results of the weekly post #7.

The Question was: What do you do the most to support your group(s) or oshimen?

Buy singles/albums came is first place with17 votes (51%)
Read their blog everyday came in second place with6 votes (18%)
Buy goods, read their blog, and post in forums all came in third with 3 votes (9%)
Attend events and concerts came in last with 1 votes (3%)


For the most part, I agree that buying singles and albums is the best way to support your favorite group(s), soloist, or oshi, especially if you live in another country. After buying singles, I post in forums the most. It's fun to discuss outfits, the PV, and other things with other people. I rarely buy goods (unless their posters or calenders or something), and I actually rarely read member blogs! Going to concerts or events is impossible, seeing as how I live thousands of miles away! But If they come to my country, I'd definitely find some way to attend the event.

Weekly Poll #6

The Question was: Which future release are you looking forward to the most?

CHA CHA Sing by Berryz Koubou is the winner of the poll. It got 45% (19 votes). Out of all of these choices, Berryz new single is a single that I'm really looking forward too. Lately, while Morning Musume and C-ute have been doing great, Berryz seems like their in a slump. Aa yo ga akeru and Be Genki were great, but they weren't the best from berryz for me. However, their cover of P'Bird's popular song ounds fun and energetic. The PV is a standard H!P studio PV, but it actually looks really nice for once.

Tweet Dream/Sparkle by Fairies received second place with 35% (15 votes). I definitely think some of Fairies past works are better than their new single. For me, this is one of their weakest. However, I give props to the girls for trying out a new style, instead of sticking with the same sound and playing it safe. Unlike another group I follow... The songs aren't all bad. Tweet dream is growing one me, and Sparkle isn't half bad either. It may be their lowest selling single, but Fairies have grown a strong fanbase, in Japan, and also oversees.

Song For Smiling by Sakura Gakuin received third place with 19% (8 votes). I was surprised. Sakura Gakuin usually scores very low on polls. They are so under appreciated by everyone, it's sad. But I think their popularity went up a little, and I'm glad they snagged third place. Song for Smiling is definitely the typical upbeat, and happy Sakura Gakuin song. It's probably my least liked song from them, but the English is refreshing, and the painting outfits are cute; a nice break from their School Uniforms.I'm not sure if it's an official single yet though...but hopefully, it's included on a CD.

Go! Go! Here we go! by Ebichu took fourth place with 16% (7 votes). I adored Ebichu's debut, Karikeiyaku no Cinderella. It almost reached 30k, which is really amazing! I heard the preview, and I'm loving it so far. I just really love STARDUST in general. They really know how to produce good talents.

Headbanger by BABYMETAL took fifth with 14% (6 votes). Technically, they shouldn't be on the list because this single was released before I put the poll up, but I made a mistake. Anyway,  this is another awesome single, with an awesome b side from the group! I love the PV.

One up!!!/Ichigo Gyuunyuu by Idoling!!! took last place with 9% (4 votes). This result does not surprise me. While Idoling!!! has really great success in Japan, selling 50-60k with every single, they are really  unpopular with the western fanbase. I guess it's because at a glance, these girls are normal idols that don't really stand out. But actually, when you get to know the group, you'll find that Idoling!!! is really fun.
I like to watch their shows. Also, they have a good range of music.

Since Dempagumi is a relatively unknown group, I didn't expect much people to participate in the poll. In total, 23 people voted.

Weekly Poll #3

It's Monday again, which means it's time to view the results of the weekly poll!

The Question was (Submitted by Shurastriker) What's the ideal number of members for idol groups? 

 6-9 people is the winner of the poll. It got 44% (31 people).
This is also the answer choice that I picked. For an idol group, I definitely think that 6-9 people is the perfect number. It's not too small and not too large. In a group like this, it is a reachable goal to match every members names with their faces, and even sometimes learn what their voice sounds like. You can't do this is a group with 15+ members. Berryz Koubou has 7 girls, and I know every members names, faces, and I can tell who's singing. I'm also getting to know PASSPO☆ members.

2-5 people came in second place with 27% (19 people).

This was also my second choice for the number of people in an idol group. 2-5 people is the ideal number if you really want to know the members well. Momoiro Clover Z, for example, has 5 members currently and just like berryz, I know names, faces, and singing voices. Each girl can show their own personality and have singing lines because the group is much smaller.

10-13 came is third place with 21% (15 people).
This was my third answer choice. I think that 10-13 people is actually still a bit too much. With this many members, it's hard to know exactly who's who. With 10-13, If I like really like the group, then I will take the time to know the members, like Morning Musume. However, If I'm not really into a group that much, then I'll usually just pick favorites. SUPER☆GiRLS, for an example, has 11 girls. As they release more singles, I'll know more about them, but I only know 2 or 3 girls right now.

14 or more came in last place with 7% (5 people).
This was also my least favorite choice. 14+ girls in one group is just too much. Idoling!!! has 21 members, and I've been into them for a long time, yet I only know 2 or 3 members! Half of it is my fault, for not taking the time to learn the member's, but half of it is because there are too many members, and too many lineup changes in a short period of time.They say that a lot of members means you have a lot of personality to pick from, which is true, but when the company promotes the same select girls every time, it's useless to like the less popular girls since you never see them. The best thing to do when groups have a lot of members is to just pick out your favorites, and keep it moving, unless you really like that group.

In total, 70  people voted! That is a huge jump from the last poll.

Weekly Poll #2

It's Monday again, which means it's time to view the results of the weekly poll!


The Question was: How many J pop or idol CD's do you buy every month?

I changed the question a bit, but It was submitted by I ♥ Miyoshi Ayaka. 
I ♥ Miyoshi Ayaka has an awesome blog that I read on a daily basis. In his blog, he writes about groups such as Sakura Gakuin, Ebichu, Primmzy, Girly Chou, and much much more! I suggest that you check out his blog if you like any of these groups!

 It depends on how many releases the groups I follow have that month is the winner of the poll. It got 34% (18 people). This is the choice that I choose and it makes perfect sense.


I don't buy them, I download them freely from other sites came in second with 23% (12 people) I'm surprised! I didn't think anyone would pick this. Well, the polls are anonymous anyway!
But I don't blame people. Japanese CD's are already expensive. because their imported, they get even more expensive! Sometimes It costs $50 just for 1 CD because I fee's.

That's why I don't understand why people illegally download music from their own country when they can just walk into a CD store and buy it. For me, however, I like jpop, which means that I have to order it online.


5 or more came in third with 21% (11 people). It's cool to know that people buy 5 or more CD's a month regardless of other factors!

None came in fourth with 11% (6 people).

5 or less came in fifth with 7% (4 people).

I prefer digital downloads as opposed to CD's came in last with only 1% (1 person). I was also surprised about this! I think digital downloads are less space consuming and If you use itunes, like H!P does, it's so much cheaper than a CD. I buy half of my H!P music from itunes. This is a wonderful solution to those on a tight budget.

Weekly Poll #1 Results

It's Monday again, which means it's time to view the results of the weekly poll!

The question was (Submitted by me): Which group has the most interesting PV's?

 

 Momoiro Clover Z is the winner for this poll, and won by a landslide with 54% (23 people) of the votes!! I honestly expected them to win because momoclo definitely has the most fun, unique, and original PV's out of any idol groups I've ever faced!




It's not surprising that Momoclo's sister group, Shiritsu Ebichu Chuugaku got second, receiving second place with 21% (9 people) of the votes. I also immensely adore Ebichu's PV's! Their so wacky and fun. The girls are all so silly, and don't care if they look ridiculous!

BiS took third place, receiving 16% (7 people) of the votes! BiS PV's to me are a combination of weird, and interesting. I just had to include them! This group is still fairly new, yet they still managed to beat SKE.

SKE48 came in last place with only 7% (3 people) of the votes. As a huge SKE fan, I find that out of all of the 48 groups, SKE's PV's are a little lot more fun and creative than the other groups, so I'm shocked.






In total, 42 people voted! I actually did not expect this much people to participate!

New feature #1: Weekly Poll

 To make PIH more fun and interesting, I've decided to add some new features.
The first new feature is the addition of a weekly poll. This is how the weekly poll will work.

The poll is always located at the top of the page to the right.

I'll post a poll question sometime on Monday and the poll will close on Sunday. I'll post the results of the poll on Monday again, along with a brand new poll. I can't think of all of the questions by myself. So...

You have the option of submitting your own poll question! 

You can submit as many poll questions as you want, just as long as their idol or Jpop related
