Weekly Poll #5

Sorry, I've been busy, and I have skipped the weekly poll for several several weeks. But now, I'm starting over, even though it's not Monday yet.

The Question was: What is your favorite 48 summer release?

Manatsu no Sounds Good came in first place with 19 votes (52%). It's kind of expected that they'd get first place because, since their the most popular out of the 48 family. I liked this summer single from them. The song wasn't the best, but the chorus was catchy, and they made the PV more than just their usual summer bikini PV by all of the violence.

Nagiichi came in second place with 7 votes (19%). I was surprised. SKE48 is more popular, so I thought their summer PV would be in second place. I didn't really look too much at NMB's sumemr single. I mean, for their first summer PV, It was good, but it seems like a copy of AKB's summer stuff. Bikinis, cuteness, but nothing outstanding.

Aishiteraburu! came in third place with 6 votes (16%). Only one vote behind NMB. Anyway, I liked SKE's single the best out of the 48 family. (SKE bias...) because the song was really cute, and the PV was refreshing because it was located over water. Much better than Parero wa Emerald.

Oide Shampoo came in last place with 4 votes (11%). Nogizaka is still a new group, so it's expected that their PV would get the lowest. To be honest, I haven't looked at anything that AKB's rival group sister group has released.

In total, 36 people voted.

Weekly poll #6 is now up. I tried to have some diversity in the groups this time.

Don't forget, you can send in your weekly poll. I'm running out of questions! To find put how, click the weekly polls tab at the top of the page

AKB48 Makes Epic PV ?

What do you do when you’re AKB48 and have done just about everything possible to do in a music video? You hire a famed movie director and special effects master and top everything else you have done before. Or at least that is the plan.

For AKB48`s upcoming 26th single “Manatsu no Sounds good!” they have hired famed film director Higuchi Shinji [Google him, his resume is impressive, lol] and loaded up the truck and headed to Guam for a combat and swimsuit PV spectacular.

I have included a non-YouTube version of the preview because it has footage that is missing in some other preview versions.

AKB48 GIVE ME FIVE Coupling PVs

Recently the videos for the AKB48 “GIVE ME FIVE” single have started to come out. Below is the videos for ”NEW SHIP” which is a story about JKT48 Melody transferring to a Japanese school by Special Girls A , and “Hitsujikai no Tabi” by Special Girls B.

“New Ship”
I think they did an ok job here with Melody from JKT48, in symbolizing that while the group maybe from outside Japan; they are a part of the 48 family.

Hirajima Natsumi & Yonezawa Rumi Leave AKB48

Oh boy, were to begin and how much should I say would best describe this post.

Hirajima Natsumi & Yonezawa Rumi are leaving AKB48 effective immediately, for idol contract rules violations.  Basically it comes down to this, wotas discovered that Yonezawa had a private twitter account and another site, where she talked about dating, friends with benefits relationships, co-ed sleepover photos. This resulted in the discovery of Hirajima having a private twitter account and more photos with Natsumi being involved with a boy.

This resulted in 24 hrs. of hate messages, posted anonymous threats to all the 48 groups, their places of work for being “unfaithful” idols. As a result both Hirajima Natsumi & Yonezawa Rumi have givin their resignations.

Natsumi sent out an official announcement, apologizing to fans for causing everyone trouble.
Natsumi went on to tell the fans, staff and everyone involved with AKB48 that she is truly sorry and hopes to one day receive the support of the fans again.

Yonezawa Rumi like Natsumi also gave a resignation release and like Natsumi, Rumi also apologized for causing trouble.

Being an idol and not doing anything to damage your image is a standard rule .What we see on TV or on stage is not often what really is. Onyanko Club members have in their post idol careers admitted that in their time as a group the members had boyfriends and generally it was a matter of not getting caught by media and fans. It is times like these when you can`t help but to think is your favorite idol next.

Baby Blossom

Baby Blossom is an 18 member band created from AKB48 members .The core of the band is Maeda Atsuko (Guitar), Oshima Yuko (Bass), Takahashi Minami (Guitar), Kashiwagi Yuki (Drums), Kojima Haruna (Keyboards), and Watanabe Mayu (Keyboards).
The remaining Senbatsu members make up horn, percussion and backing vocals.

Baby Blossom was created for the single “GIVE ME FIVE” and spent the past five months rehearsing.
They are not all that bad, not ready open up for BABY METAL [Sorry I couldn`t resist that joke].

Seriously this is a fun little group they have put together for their next single. The girls worked very hard and I tip my hat to them as it`s a good job for five months training.
