Weekly Poll #5

Sorry, I've been busy, and I have skipped the weekly poll for several several weeks. But now, I'm starting over, even though it's not Monday yet.

The Question was: What is your favorite 48 summer release?

Manatsu no Sounds Good came in first place with 19 votes (52%). It's kind of expected that they'd get first place because, since their the most popular out of the 48 family. I liked this summer single from them. The song wasn't the best, but the chorus was catchy, and they made the PV more than just their usual summer bikini PV by all of the violence.

Nagiichi came in second place with 7 votes (19%). I was surprised. SKE48 is more popular, so I thought their summer PV would be in second place. I didn't really look too much at NMB's sumemr single. I mean, for their first summer PV, It was good, but it seems like a copy of AKB's summer stuff. Bikinis, cuteness, but nothing outstanding.

Aishiteraburu! came in third place with 6 votes (16%). Only one vote behind NMB. Anyway, I liked SKE's single the best out of the 48 family. (SKE bias...) because the song was really cute, and the PV was refreshing because it was located over water. Much better than Parero wa Emerald.

Oide Shampoo came in last place with 4 votes (11%). Nogizaka is still a new group, so it's expected that their PV would get the lowest. To be honest, I haven't looked at anything that AKB's rival group sister group has released.

In total, 36 people voted.

Weekly poll #6 is now up. I tried to have some diversity in the groups this time.

Don't forget, you can send in your weekly poll. I'm running out of questions! To find put how, click the weekly polls tab at the top of the page

One is just not enough for these girls as Nogizaka46 are getting a second national TV show.

Currently Nogizaka46 is broken up this way

The group will release their second single on May 2 and the group are looking to better their 2nd place rank on Oricon.

Nogizaka46 Land Major Sponsorship Deal

Nogizaka46 has landed a major sports sponsorship .Nogizaka46 song “Hidari Mune no Yuuki“, has been chosen as the official support song for “Sukapa! J League

2012″ [Professional Soccer League TV Broadcast].
The song will be used during the season broadcasts schedule and as part of the related commercials.
This is a special deal for Miyazawa Seira, whose father is Miyazawa Michel [French-Japanese], who is a retired player of the J-League for JEF United Ichihara playing in a total of 134 games and scoring 6 goals as a defender.

Seira said at the press conference “I want to do my best for my dad, and liven up everyone in the stadium.”

Nogizaka46: Aitakatta Kamo Shirenai PV

The video is out for Nogizaka46 remake of the AKB48 single “Aitakatta”.

The song is called “Aitakatta Kamo Shirenai”, there is not a lot of difference if my memory is correct between the two outside of it being a rocked out version of the song. The great one herself Maeda Atsuko makes a guest shot near the end.

Depending on which side of the fence you fall in this debate ,you`ll either like the song or find a reason not to ,either way the rocked out version is very good and the group sound good together.

Maeda Atsuko spotted in Nogizaka46 Video

Has the great one changed groups? No, lol Maeda is just doing a guest spot.
Maeda makes a guest appearance in the video for “Aitakatta Kamo Shirenai”

“Aitakatta Kamo Shirenai” is just a remake of the AKB48 single and video “Aitakatta” and Maeda makes a passing appearance and is just another of several recent supporting promotions by the groups.

Nogizaka46 Guru Guru Curtain PV

Nogizaka46 debut single was broadcast on their weekly TV show earlier .The single is titled “Guru Guru Curtain” and the video features shots of the girls in a classroom and dance performance or what little dance it is. For a group that was labeled as the rival to AKB48 ,i`d expect a more here we are ,were going to beat you type song ,this feels more like the Possible vs. Morning Musume ,just another group that can be built up and then one day when AKB48 ends their replacement is already established.

For all the talk about rivals, Nogizaka46 is starting to look like the cousins of AKB48.

Nogizaka46 Guru Guru Curtain

The other night near the end of their weekly TV show Nogizaka46 performed their debut single “Guru Guru
Curtain”. “Guru Guru Curtain” is the campaign song for “Meiji Tezukuri Chocolate”.
As to this rivalry with AKB48, Nogizaka46 performed at the AKB48 Best 100 event the other night .I don`t really see them as rivals at all, just another group. Comparable to the Possible and Morning Musume from Tsunku.

Sorry that everyone had to wait on these episodes ,have lots to tend to.

On Nogizakatte ,Doko? A few members head into town to take on a few missions ,including entering “rival” territory the AKB48 Shop. There is a studio game show in the second half of the show that for me was the best part of the show.

If you remember this band from past posts ,well I have something not really new and not really old ,just simply ongoing . They have a show on Akiba TV and currently have done 25 broadcasts all archived on YouTube by the way.

Here is a recent broadcast
Note-From time to time they go off screen to play a song over their show logo ,then return for the next segment. The last 30 minutes is when they tend to do a game of some promotion for their fans.

Michishige Sayumi 10,000 yen challenge

Sayu is involved in a TV challenge  and she has to live on her own for one month on 10,000 yen which is around $130 .Oddly enough this episode turns into cooking time with Sayu .When Sayu leaves the idol world to start a family , I have a feeling mealtime with Sayu will be cute and who couldn`t  wait to come home to eat a “love love burger” .Sayu`s wake up face is cute as well.

Ah this show reminds me of the early years of a music career ,when you have to decide between eating and paying the rent and food wins ,lol.

As asked by readers of this site to continue posting this show.
This week the girls head out to various locations to try various foods. Their reactions make it a better show then it sounds like. Near the end is a special challenge, which makes up for the slowness at times of the main feature. Looking ahead next week has the makings of a great show.
