Sayu and Baseball

Morning Musume`s leader Michishige Sayumi is doing the announcements in the background of this professional baseball game . Her high pitched anime voice when players come to at bat is ten minutes of greatness of cuteness.

Reflection: Morning Musume to Add 11th Gen + Sayumi New Leader

As said before, 11th gen auditions have been announced and Sayumi is now the new leader of Morning Musume. I'm sure that a lot of people have different views on this, and so do I. This is just my own opinion of the recently announced news, so please say what you think, too.

With this auditions announcment, I was much less surprised at it in comparison to the 9th and 10th gen auditions. With 9th, it had been quite a while since 8th had been added. With 10th, it was announced when the 9th debut single was being released. So at this rate, the addition of another generation wouldn't have been that shocking and would be just like back then when auditions were happening basically each year. Although I'm a bit worried that the 10th gen hasn't had enough time to make themselves known (in my eyes, at least), I'm interested to see what kind of people will be added to the group. If you ask me, I'd like people that are slightly older than the average age of the gen members at the time of their joining. New members are usually 12-14, somewhere along those ages. And currently, there are much more "new members" than "old members". Personally and generally, I'm not a big fan of idol groups that have a young average age because I see them targetted more at kids and their voices aren't as mature, yet. Plus, it would make the age gap a little closer instead of about 5 years or more of an age difference from the youngest senpai (Reina) to the oldest kouhai (Haruna). But then again, by the time 6th gen graduates, all of them would have aged by probably two years or so, making Haruna 20 or at least almost 20, which would then make the average age bump up again. (Assuming there are no auditions and graduations, which I can't be so sure of) Also, I think it'd be cool to see former members or trainees of indies idol groups being accepted, if the contracts were acceptable within the rules, since Ayumi makes a great fit in the group and her experience from DLH has made her an even better member.
As for Sayu taking over the reigns of Gaki-san, that also wasn't surprising since in most cases, the next oldest member (In both age and time for when they joined H!P) becomes the next leader. But she seems great with the kouhai (from the looks of the blog pics that are posted) and looks like she can make a fun and cute leader! I hope that she, along with Reina, take good care of the group and really get them all into shape before they eventually take their leave, as well. After all, that time is going to come soon...

Morning Musume to Add 11th Gen + Sayumi New Leader

Empress Sayumi

The other day in conversations between the staff ,I mentioned to them that i`d like to see Morning Musume return to the system that made them popular during their first five years and that was yearly new member additions ,this of course also went along with graduations. I explained my reasons to the staff and plans got underway to write a set of articles making the case for the addition of an 11th generation.

It seems that Tsunku-san also had this on his mind as well. On a night that saw Mitsui Aika and Niigaki Risa graduate and the crowning of  Michishige Sayumi as leader
Tsunku-san announced that Morning Musume will be adding an 11th generation and signups have now started.

In regards to Sayumi ,If your surprised that she is leader , you shouldn`t be ,Sayumi was going to be leader to start with ,unless she didn`t want to be leader.Reina will follow her unless they graduate together , Fuku-chan will lead after Reina.

Michishige Sayumi said at the graduation concert, that she did have some worries, but will do her best and asked the crowd for their support. While Reina was not officially named sub-leader, she is expected to work beside Sayumi to provide needed support and scoldings.

In regards to how Sayumi will view other “rival” groups, she recently said in an interview

Q. Idol groups have been multiplying rapidly. How does Morning Musume intend to fight on?
A: They call it the Warring States Period for Idols, but rather than fighting anyone, I'd like to go forward by showing everyone all of Musume's good points. Like when I watch Momoiro Clover Z I can't help but want to support them, so I don't really want to forget that feeling. I love watching idols, and in the end that becomes a way for me to study.

Following this announcement Tsunku-san announced the addition of the 11th generation. The audition is called “Morning Musume 11Ki Member ‘Suppin Utahime’ Audition!!”
Tsunku-san said that the reason that the 11th generation was going to be added was the following.

“I decided on this audition to make Morning Musume fresher. To liven up the group with this new member[s]. I want Morning Musume to beat other girl groups!”

Has Tsunku-san seen the same fire that I have in 9th and 10th generation, that same feeling we once had in 1998-2002?

There is specialness with the 9th and 10th generation, which has long been missing in Morning Musume, Look for Sayumi and Reina to bring the best out of them.

Michishige Sayumi 10,000 yen challenge

Sayu is involved in a TV challenge  and she has to live on her own for one month on 10,000 yen which is around $130 .Oddly enough this episode turns into cooking time with Sayu .When Sayu leaves the idol world to start a family , I have a feeling mealtime with Sayu will be cute and who couldn`t  wait to come home to eat a “love love burger” .Sayu`s wake up face is cute as well.

Ah this show reminds me of the early years of a music career ,when you have to decide between eating and paying the rent and food wins ,lol.

Morning Musume: Sayu, Mitsui, Riho Visit PON!

Sayu, Mitsui, Riho Visit PON!
Morning Musume members Michishige Sayumi, Mitsui Aika, and Sayashi Riho made a visit to the popular television show PON! To promote their new single “Maji desu ka Ska“which is on sale as I write this.

As part of the visit, the members talked about their childhood and pre-Morning Musume day's .During this segment Riho informed viewers that her last name is one of the rarest names in Japan, with only 12 registered families of which she is related to half of them. Riho is also related to professional baseball player Sayashi Tomoya. Riho also mentioned her goal was to meet all the registered Sayashi families.

The Sayashi family name for those who are wondering comes from a family of katana scabbard makers who lived near Himeji Castle.

Sayu talked about her athletic skills at age nine , her being on the “Most Hated" idol ranking, and Mitsui shares a dog story.

It sure feels strange to have members in Morning Musume like Riho who were not yet born, when their first single was released.

Takahashi Ai and Michishige Sayumi - Thoughts and Fears

(Something quick and short from the news.)

In Tokyo, Morning Musume's Michishige Sayumi was part of a handshake event in conjunction with the release of concert photobook "Rival Survival". Leader Takahashi Ai was also present and commented on the photobook, which commemorates the last tour with the alreaedy graduated members Kamei Eri, Jun JUn and Lin Lin, by saying that those memories still drives her to tears. Takahashi who is also going graduate this year and perhaps beginning lessons to work on theatres, commented that Morning Musume has changed. Regarding the current surge of idol groups in the market, Takahashi said that Morning Musume have been giving the public a breath of fresh air by constantly changing its members, and due the support of everyone Morning Musume was able to continue for 10 years even though the initial members are not there anymore. Finally she also said that "the addition of 9th generation members brings our average age to 17 and opens up to a lot more opportunities".

On the other hand, Michishige commented on the formation of "rival" Dream Morning Musume, with her usual knife-edge commenting, by saying that it was scary. And because there are members in the DMM group that have an age difference that is equivalent to a mother and her daughter, it sends a shiver down to her spine.

Sayu`s Views On The 9th Generation

Sayu`s Views On The 9th Generation

As I mentioned in the fan event post ,Sayu also talked in her blog about the 9th generation fan event. Here is what Sayu said about each member after the event.

[Note I have removed all the little expression marks Sayu makes in the posts and they are not in the order that Sayu posted them .I just selected the order at random]

Today you know.
For the ９th Gen Members’ Debut Event, Gakisan and Sayumi has the role as chairman like officials
Gakisan’s extremely good at taking control so, Sayumi at that time was just careless doing things（lol）
------------
Today was Morning Musume。’s ９th Gen Members’ First Debut Event
On a day like this, I need to re-introduce the ９th gen members on the blog right.

Titled: Kyakyakya

First off, Sayashi Riho-chan
Ky――ut―――ie――――  [Sayu`s new way of saying cute it seems]

But at today’s event, Riho-chan,
Said that Sayumi is scary ,lol

But after the event,
She told me, “I love you,”

 Just so adorable
Without thinking, I hugged her
At the event, she probably read the atmosphere and said that Sayumi is scary off that．．．probably, lol.

==========

 Titled: Genius

Genius ,
Suzuki Kanon-chan！！
Here she is！She’s here！Zuki！Zuki！Zukki！Genius！
Everything she does is funny
“I, can’t be anything but an Idol,”

She had said,
Her firm statement is here―Seriously amazing
Moreover, really her adlibs and stuff, are strong in their absurd style,
She can do just about anything for you
In the dressing room, while she was really eating peanuts,
“Instead of a meal, I’m eating peanuts！”
She had said but,
Out of the new members, she was the first to eat her bentou （lol）
So so innocent aren’t you

 This picture is,

Zukki eating a meat bun！
Behind her is Yashiiiiiiiii
It seems like she has the energy to eat up Yasshii too （lol）
You gotta stop there kay, Zukki！
Sayumi will stop you with all her power （lol）
９th gen members, are great！ Amazingly great！
======

Titled : Pon

Ikuta Erina-chan
Nickname, Eripon！！
At the event all the fans were going,
“PonPon”
Calling her that, it really hit the mark！
Well, her names, complete, gone from it though ！！

Eripon
I have to get a serious look at her today.
For a whole ３０seconds or so！！！
However, it was during the event （lol）
Embarrassed, I ended up turning away
Anyway, I got to chat！chat！chat！ With Eripon.
Our conversations are always, uninterrupted chatpons
Everyone’s character is deep huh
===========
Titled: continuing on, it’s Fukumura Mizuki-chan

Today, while I was in the car coming home with Fukuchan, I got to leisurely chat with her for the first time
She’s such a good girl I’m kind of moved,
But, when someone’s not paying attention sometimes, she spits a bit of poison （lol）
……..Ah！ Even though I call it poison, it’s light stuff
It’s different from Sayumi （lol） Relax!!!!!!!（lol）
Well you know. She’s so cute I can’t really say anything about it！
And she’s got this charm to her too,
I want to talk with Fukuchan a lot  I think

Chatting with Fukuchan leisurely without a care,
But with Suzuki Kanon-chan and
Ikuta Erina-chan,
I talk with them with intensity you know lol
These always-powerful ９th gen members are cute, so it can’t be helped

During this, Yasshii was in dreamland (-.-)zzZ♪♪♪♪♪

Her sleeping, that sleeping face… it was so cute it wasn’t normal

[Note -Sayu has been dropping hints that Fuku-chan`s background is different from others .Sometimes calling her princess. This plus some photos of how Fuku-chan  does things ,
such as how she holds her drinks is more formal then others ,has sparked some talk that Fuku-chan comes from a family of wealth .Not that this is a big issue as all the members of H!P come from different family backgrounds ,it`s just something that people are talking about. ]

If there was any generation that could use the old Hello!Morning show or an AKBINGO! type show it`s 9th generation. Sayu`s non stop hints , about these members  ,show that this generation ,is one we  would/will enjoy watching on television .

Fun With Sayu

Fun With Sayu

Time for some fun.

Being an idol, one of the most important things is to be able to do  public speaking .You need to have a lot of confidence about yourself and some humor.

Michishige Sayumi is widely believed to be sub leader in waiting to Risa when she takes over leadership of H!P and Morning Musume after Aichan`s graduation.

So that got me to thinking ,Sayu maybe the most confident speaker in the group and how 9th generation may turn out when it comes to confidence under Sayu`s guidance.

Enjoy this subbed clip.

Not Subbed.

Just do not let Sayu teach special skill abilities

For Kanon fans ,I am working on something so that you can update any profiles that you maybe making for your blogs for 9th generation.
