The radio mini preview for C-ute`s upcoming single “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku“! Has been released .It`s much different than anything that I can remember off the top of my head that C-ute has done recently.
This time the ladies are doing a soft ballad that has the feel of an 80`s soft rock ballad .Very well done, I really want to hear more of this release.
It may sound like a throwback, but sometimes throwbacks are still the best songs out.
Tanaka Reina And Michishige Sayumi Land Drama Roles
Morning Musume`s Tanaka Reina and Michishige Sayumi have been cast as co-stars in a new NTV drama set to air January 11 called “Suugaku Joshi Gakuen”.
“Suugaku Joshi Gakuen” will not only feature Reina and Sayu, but will also see several members of H!P joining the series in guest appearances . They are Mano Erina, Tsugunaga Momoko , Sudo Maasa Yajima Maimi, Nakajima Saki, , Suzuki Airi , Wada Ayaka, Fukuda Kanon, and Tamura Meimi .
For their part Reina and Sayu will be the focus point of the drama who are rivals in a math club ,The H!P visiting members will serve as opponents for Reina and Sayu ,while actor Sakurada Dori will be the male co-star who has zero interest in being on the math team.
On November 16 under the name, Mobekimasu a super unit created from the combined units of Morning Musume + 10th generation members, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Mano Erina, “new” S/mileage, members of Hello! Pro Egg, are going to be releasing a single called “Busu ni Naranai Tetsugaku”.
The single will come in seven editions and each unit will have their own coupling track on an individual single. As an added bonus the single will come with handshake tickets for an H!P fan event.
So as H!P becomes H!P48 for at least one single [ multiple units combined for a single , units with their own coupling tracks ,trainees having an active role and multiple CD versions ,wota handshake tickets] ,I would caution fans of H!P thinking that this will be some kind of epic sales result by counting the average sales of each unit together .
H!P units for the most part share wotas with a few single unit hardcore dedicated fans . A good measuring stick is the old H!P All Stars single which sold 60,000+ copies. Anything less then that would be a disappointment for this release .
While I may find it funny that this has so many comparisons to another company that it`s like being H!P48 ,I think a single of this type just maybe what the agency needs to generate new interest.
℃-ute have released their new single PV “Sekai Ichi HAPPY na Onna no Ko“ The girls are dressed in color outfits ,which either will come off to you as a rainbow or a paint board .The video has everything that we have come to expect from H!P ,so H!P fans should feel happy with this . The song and video is simple, clean, colorful and packed with energy.
One of the things that I have always liked about this group is how well their voices go together and this track is no different. Regardless of line distribution, the member’s voices offset any negatives a listener may have.
It`s a much better release then some of the recent H!P releases .
Idoling!!!,℃-ute, 9nine, SUPER☆GiRLS, AeLL, Live Event
Idol groups Idoling!!!, ℃-ute, 9nine, SUPER☆GiRLS, AeLL are coming together to perform on the same stage for two nights only as part of a fashion event called “Japan Girls Meeting 2011”. As part of the event, the groups will perform on stage in individual mini lives. The live event will from May 21 to 22 at the Tokyo EPSON Shinagawa Aqua Stadium.
AeLL will be featured in a separate post, so please look forward to it.
Music Previews: Afilia Saga East, C-ute, Gacharic Spin
In this preview, we have idols and rock.
First up are the darlings of Afilia as Afilia Saga East start promotions of their new album. I have to say, not sure, what I enjoyed the most in this PV, the fact that Afilia is as cute as ever, the song being good or the girls trying to fly on witch brooms. Ok learning to fly won me over, well the entire package did. This group just keeps getting better.
C-ute have released the PV for their new single “Momoiro Sparkling”
This single has the typical H!P sound and may take a few spins to pull in mainstream fans. Overall it`s a summer upbeat type song with lots of C-ute goodness.
Up and coming female rock band Gacharic Spin will be releasing their first mini album “Virgin-A” and have recently released the single “Lost Angel” .
This is a group that will need to take time to grow on you if you have never heard of them before .Don`t count them short as they are making a name for themselves among female rock band fans and in the JRock genre.
Guitarist TOMO-ZO use to be the lead guitarist for Eu-Phoria while bassist F CHOPPER KOGA was a member of THE PINK PANDA. These two are a great team, complete with guitar spins
This is a semi new feature, it`s not really new in that we have never featured single previews before, because we have .It`s new in that I am going to do it a different way and expand it.
You know how when you watch a music video station they run previews of new releases and some you may like and some you may not ,well this is what we are going to do from now on.
At random times, I will select a few artists or groups from different genres to preview in one post. Sometimes these previews will be the latest artists releases we normally cover .Sometimes they will be JRock, Indie Idols, there will also be selected artists we have never talked about before.
All you have to do is watch the previews or download them if the video gets deleted and talk about them here on PIH as normal. If it`s an artist that we never covered before and you like the song or are already a fan, speak out. The more the artist is talked about, the greater the chance they will enter our group coverage.

C-ute`s leader/captain Yajima Maimi is co-starting with Ochiai Motoki in a straight-to-DVD live-action adaptation of Shinji Hiramatsu's manga series "Black Angels".
“Black Angels” was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1981 and 1985 .It told the story of a group of vigilantes delivering justice to evildoers who had escaped the law. Ochiai will play the primary role as Yukito, the leader of the group. Yajima has been cast as Reira, the captivating heroine of the story.
Maimi fans will be pleased to know that the DVD is already open for pre-orders and officially will be released in May.

Well C-ute has officially left the name of this group as the costume designers have decided that ℃-ute should look mature, [if you want to use that term] for their new single "Kiss Me Aishiteru ".
"Kiss Me Aishiteru" will be a released on February 23 and is a good song, once you get past the costumes.
I can`t speak for everyone, for me these costumes take away from the overall video, but not enough to ruin the video.
Good choice for a single, bad choice to me in costumes.
°C-ute,`s "dancing queen" superstar Okai has released a solo digital single called "Love Namidairo" .You can purchase the single now from ITunes .
Okai, who has become an overnight online superstar with her dance videos, will also be releasing a photobook and DVD .The DVD will not be sold outside of Japan.

“Aitai Lonely Christmas” is a good song ,that is finding it`s self being pushed to the side as Chisato`s dance challenge and her record 100,000 views in two days and 1 million in total has been the buzz for media this cycle.

One of the in things right now is for girls to create Nico Nico and You Tube dance videos .Nearly every one of these “dance idols” wear a mask to hide their identity from viewers, stalkers and so on. This has resulted in creating a cult following and an air of mystery surrounding the dancer. Often some go on to sign contracts with agencies ,while others reach the point of video stardom that they remove their masks and continue to perform for their fans.
Well it is not only amateurs and idol hopefuls creating videos, °C-ute`s Okai Chisato has now gotten into the act.

If your a fan and have a Youtube account be sure to leave her comments, she was asked by a media outlet on her dance challenge and said the following.
“Youtube is watched all over the world. I have read the comments and so many of those wrote them are from different countries. It made me so happy… it makes me glad I did this challenge.”
Why is it that °C-ute and Buono put out songs that I wished Morning Musume had put out, lol
“Dance de Bakoon!” Is a really good song ,with an upbeat and catchy sound ,however to much CGI effects in the video takes away from it a bit , the CGI should have complemented the song , not put °C-ute swimming in a blinding sea of distorted colors and haze that weakens the overall look and effect of the video..
This is one song that is better off with the thought of less is more idea. The same results could have been reached by having the CGI be in the background as support of a solid song that didn`t need much of a push to please wotas.
If you have full confidence in your artist’s ability to sale a good song, you do not have to over produce the video with lots of CGI; just make a good video that complements the song, not over shadow it.
Overall, this song is great, powerful and has a fair line distribution that should leave °C-ute fans satisfied and many fans will like the video. When I mean by fair, Suzuki Airi and Yajima Maimi is and will always be the aces and have the most lines.
With this single more attention is given to the supporting members, with timely repeating solo lines and not just backup singers, you do not have to give everyone the same number of lines, to make a song work. I didn`t come away from this single feeling like one member stole the spotlight . Instead for me, this song works, the unit comes off as being tight with no noticeable weak points.
